Vintage 1947 Gibson LG-2 Acoustic Guitar
Here is a vintage 1947 Gibson LG-2 acoustic guitar. This guitar is all original without and modifications or repairs. Guitar is set up with low action and plays great and sounds incredible. These early LG-2’s are some of my favorite sounding Gibson’s ever made. This one has really nice tone. Being a 1947 model the neck is not as fat as the earlier models. Still a larger neck but not nearly as chunky as the early 40’s models. Just about the perfect shape. This guitar has been played a lot of the last 75 years as can be seen with all of the capo marks on the neck. They look worse than they really are. Doesn’t affect playing and if you play like I do, you won’t even notice while playing. Purely cosmetic. One small crack near the sound hole as is typical on these. If you’ve been looking for a great playing and sounding LG-2 without and neck issues or any playability issues, this is the one. I’ve had this guitar in my bedroom the last two years and it’s been a joy to play. Alas, it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. No case but will be packed safely. I’ll probably purchase a gig bag for it for shipping.
