Hot Water takes the classic four-transistor Big Muff architecture and extracts four times the amount of gain. The result is a heavy, synthy, and compressed fuzz that still maintains enough dynamic range to clean up when you roll back your volume knob. Part of the MAE budget line, it’s a high-visibility, high-gain powerhouse.
Controls:
- MORE: Traditional gain control; higher settings increase compression.
- LOUD: Master output volume.
Uses standard 9VDC power. While it can be powered at 18V, it is optimized to sound best at 9V.
