ABOUT THE AMP

This is an exceptional opportunity to own a piece of Marshall history: the Marshall JMP 2959 100-Watt Lead Head. Produced only for a brief period between 1978 and 1980, the 2959 is one of the rarest Marshall heads ever made, with estimates suggesting less than 200 units were manufactured.

The 2959 takes the foundational circuit of the legendary non-Master Volume 1959 Super Lead and enhances it with two key factory features:

  • Built-in Spring Reverb: Adds depth and dimension without the need for external pedals.
  • Switchable Gain Boost: Pushes the classic Super Lead tone into a searing, saturated overdrive.

This amp delivers the full, uncompressed, dynamic tone of a vintage 100W Marshall, powered by four EL34 tubes, perfect for players and collectors who demand the ultimate in vintage tone and historical significance. A true collector's centerpiece and a gigging powerhouse.
