The Origin of a Legend: The Syd Barrett Tone

Originally commissioned by Lee Harris (Saucerful of Secrets) to authentically replicate the elusive vintage amp tones of Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett, the Scarlet Tunic was born to emulate the rare Selmer Treble and Bass 50. ThorpyFX nailed the Selmer tone, but pushed the design even further. This powerhouse pedal now successfully captures the unmistakable chime of a Vox AC30 and the muscular headroom of a Hiwatt DR103, giving you a stadium-ready vintage amp arsenal in a single enclosure.

Comprehensive Tone Sculpting Controls

Dial in your perfect amp-in-a-box tone using the highly responsive control layout:

• Master: Controls the overall volume output. Balances perfectly with the Gain knob and Sens switch to ensure unity volume or a massive boost.
• Gain: Dictates your level of drive. Sweep from a lightly crispy breakup all the way to rich, full-on amp saturation.
• Treble: Shapes the high-end frequencies. Roll it counterclockwise for smooth, warm tones, or clockwise for brilliant, biting highs.
• Bass: Controls the low-end thump. Turn counterclockwise for tighter, brighter tones, or clockwise for dark, resonant warmth.
• Presence: A highly powerful EQ sweep that shapes the upper-midrange response, allowing you to completely alter the character of the pedal to match your mix.
