JFET (jay-fet) is a boost pedal rooted in a deep love of the JFET transistor — long celebrated in audio for its tube-like sonic character. Built from a blank sheet of paper, JFET elevates the humble boost circuit into something refined, tonally enhanced, and deeply musical.
Three Boost Modes
- N (Normal) — a classic frequency response, almost a treble boost but not quite
- F — adds a little more weight and body to your signal
- X — flattens the circuit down below 10Hz for an incredible sense of weight without sounding like additive EQ; tightens phase for a solid, authoritative feel
Key Features
- ~19dB of gain — plenty of boost for any rig
- L (Level) fader sits after the boost stage and before the output driver, so THD, hair, and tone remain consistent throughout the travel
- Consistent output impedance via a dedicated output driver stage
- WHATEVER power input — accepts 7.5–35V AC or DC, either polarity
- Relay-based switching with instant bypass whenever power is removed
