Redefining the Modern Delay Pedal

The Diamond Pedals Dark Cloud redefines what a delay effect can be, creating an atmospheric tool unlike any other. True to the Diamond design ethos, the Dark Cloud utilizes our innovative dBBD (digital Bucket Brigade Delay) hybrid architecture to unlock a new frontier in delay technology—achieving textures and time limits completely unobtainable by standard BBD circuits.

By flawlessly blending input and output signals, the Dark Cloud delivers the organic warmth and charm of analog companding alongside the meticulous precision of a modern embedded digital system.

Three Distinct & Creative Delay Modes

Whether you are chasing vintage warble, pitch-shifted soundscapes, or lo-fi backwards echoes, the Dark Cloud delivers three deeply inspiring modes:

  • Tape Delay Mode: Inspired by the legendary Diamond Counter Point, this mode delivers a warm, saturated delay with a tape-like warble via perfectly synced modulation. Provides up to 1000ms of delay time.
  • Harmonic Delay Mode: A favorite returning from the Diamond Quantum Leap. This mode creates either a delayed octave or fifth above your input signal. The analog feedback path acts like a harmonic tone control, creating enchanting upward pitch spirals.
  • Reverse Delay Mode: A brand new feature that plays a classic delay backward for smooth, lo-fi reverse echoes with an expanded time range. The analog feedback causes the repeats to alternate between reversed and forward playback, creating complex, bouncing textures.

Tap Tempo & Live Sync

Never fall out of the pocket. The Dark Cloud features an intuitive Tap Tempo footswitch to keep you perfectly in sync with the band. It offers three distinct, highly visible tap divisions:

  • Quarter Note
  • Eighth Note
  • Dotted Eighth Note

Pedalboard-Friendly & Studio Ready

Engineered for modern pedalboards, the Dark Cloud fits massive, multi-head delay tones into a compact footprint. With top-mounted jacks, buffered bypass with trails, and standard 9VDC operation, it’s built for years of reliable use on stage or in the studio.
