The Flanger-X is Rainger FX's take on the flanger — a digital pedal with an analog soul, capable of everything from a barely-there shimmer to a full, sweeping modulation that fills the room. The range is vast, the control is expressive, and the Igor pressure-sensitive pad puts the modulation speed directly under your foot in real time.
At one end of the spectrum, the Flanger-X produces a subtle chorus-like thickening that adds width and movement without drawing attention to itself. Push further and the sweep deepens into classic jet-flange territory. Push further still and you're in space — specifically, the analog sound reproduction of a space rocket launch burning through the atmosphere that Rainger FX have built into the circuit. It's envelope-controlled, always-on, or triggered in specific bursts via Igor.
Igor Expression Pad
The included Igor pressure pad gives you direct, real-time control over modulation speed. Press lightly for a slow, hypnotic sweep. Press harder to accelerate the effect. Release and it returns to its set rate. It's an expressive, physical way to interact with modulation that no standard rate knob can replicate.
