The Reverb-X is a digital reverb mini-pedal that sounds anything but ordinary. Built around an FV-1 chip and paired with Rainger FX's Igor pressure pad controller, it delivers up to 6 seconds of reverberation — from bright, immediate sparkle to dark, brooding pre-delayed ambience — with a level of real-time expressiveness that no standard reverb pedal can match.
Distortion
The Reverb-X's defining trick is its post-reverb overdrive circuit. Blending in the 'Distn' knob adds anything from a subtle grit to a fully burnt-out glow — all applied after the reverb signal, so your dry guitar tone stays completely clean no matter how extreme the effect. It's the sound of plugging a drive pedal after a reverb: technically wrong, sonically enormous.
Noise Gate
A built-in noise gate runs before the reverb and distortion circuits by default, silencing hums and buzzes when you're not playing. Engage the 'Gate' button and it switches to post-reverb mode — opening when you play and cutting hard when you stop, creating a dramatic gated reverb effect with tight, sample-like control over your decay.
Igor Expression Pad
Plug in the included Igor pad and the reverb goes fully dry at rest. Lean into it and a bloom of reverberation grows behind your notes in real time. Release it and the reverb decays naturally — or, with Gate engaged, cuts off instantly for a twisted dub-style effect.
