Origin Effects

Origin Effects was founded in 2012, but the story starts a few years earlier with a single home-made pedal. After playing through a pair of Urei 1176 studio compressors he was repairing, company founder Simon Keats set about designing a pedal that could produce the same impeccable sound, surpassing that of other stompbox compressors. The result would eventually become the Cali76, and the response that its first incarnation got from other musicians convinced Simon that there was a need for genuinely high-quality, studio-grade guitar pedals.

This desire to make the best possible products has informed the complete Origin Effects lineup, from industry-leading compressors to ground breaking amp-inspired overdrive pedals. All share the same quality and attention to detail that has garnered artist endorsements, rave reviews, and fantastic feedback from the guitar-playing community.
