The Benson Redland Reverb Combo

The Redland Reverb Combo is a unique design aimed directly at the extended American palette of tones. Taking inspiration from legendary circuits like Dumble and Peavey, we sought to bring the signature touch sensitivity and feel of the Benson brand to a preamp that remains clean in essence, but sounds big, fat, and juicy the moment you dig in.

The Redland EQ: A New Way to Sculpt

The heart of this amplifier is the Redland EQ. While the Volume, Wattage, and Reverb controls offer the classic Benson experience, the Bass and Treble controls are where the innovation happens.

• The Bass Control (Mid-Scoop): Instead of a simple low-end boost, this control moves a massive mid-scoop across the frequency spectrum (from 100Hz to 1kHz). This allows you to surgically choose which frequencies to feature and which to cut, resulting in a sound that is remarkably versatile and "big."
• The Treble Control: Featuring a steep 12dB/octave roll-off—twice as steep as the industry standard—this control allows for precise high-end shaping specifically tuned for guitar.
• Negative Feedback: We’ve incorporated a small amount of negative feedback to slow the response envelope, adding extra "fatness" to the amp's physical feel and response.
