JAM Pedals Tiny Amp Destroyer (TAD) – King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Collaboration

The Sound of Pure, Unapologetic Destruction.

What happens when you push a cheap, $30 pawn shop amp to its absolute limits? You get the JAM Pedals Tiny Amp Destroyer (TAD). Created in collaboration with Stu Mackenzie—initially sparked by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s 2025 residency in Athens—this drive pedal proves that sometimes, shitty is pretty.

The Origin: A Note From Stu

The TAD was born out of Stu's favorite unconventional studio trick: running two JAM Pedals Boomster clean boosts into a tiny, boxed-in Cash Converters amp. It produced a crunchy, buzzy, and wild breakup that big, expensive amps simply couldn't replicate. Through sonic sorcery, the engineers at JAM Pedals captured that exact "blown-out" response, giving you the chaotic magic of a small amp pushed past its breaking point, right on your pedalboard.

Unpredictable Tone, Complete Control

While the inspiration is wild, the execution is highly versatile. The Tiny Amp Destroyer gives you the distinct character of a dying mini-amp, but with the control needed to sit perfectly in a mix.

  • Dual Gain Stages: Run them independently or stack them together to move from a subtle, low-gain breakup to dense, saturated distortion.
  • Built-in Treble Boost: Cut through the heaviest of mixes.
  • The "Magic" Switch: Toggle for distinct tonal shifts, allowing the pedal to behave dynamically whether you are playing a clean amp, a dirty amp, or experimenting with different pickups.

Psychedelic Visuals

It wouldn't be a King Gizzard collaboration without mind-bending visuals. The pedal features exclusive, custom artwork by Jason Galea, the visual mastermind behind the KGLW universe. The art perfectly reflects the pedal's sonic ethos: something wild being held in place, forcing its way out.

Key Features:

  • Designed with Stu Mackenzie (KGLW): The exact circuit he used on the 2024/2025 tours.
  • Unique Drive Signature: Replicates the boxy, saturated breakup of an over-driven solid-state micro amp.
  • Two Stackable Gain Stages: Navigate from full-range overdrive to blown-out, heavy distortion.
  • Treble Boost & Magic Switch: Shape your tone to match any guitar, pickup, or amplifier.
  • Custom Enclosure Art: Designed by KGLW artist Jason Galea.
  • Power: Standard 9V power supply operation.

Grab your guitar, plug in, and be the destroyer.
