Here is a beautiful 1964 Epiphone Newport bass guitar. This bass is such an incredible little instrument. I have had it in my collection for nearly 10 years now. Purchased from the original owner who only played for a few years in college and then stashed it away. Bass is 100% original and is still in excellent condition. The original finish is beautiful. Nice and vibrant cherry finish that is just stunning to look at. Not much wear to the front of the body at all. A few tiny dings and the pickguard has a few cracks at the screw holes. Pickguard still holds nice and tight with no issues. Bass plays great. It truly is a joy to play this short scale bass. It’s a fun instrument that is easy to sit around with and play for hours. Even comes with the original string cover/palm rest. Back of the bass is also in excellent condition. Some light buckle marks and some slight wear but still very clean also. Neck is beautiful with a little bit of wear where it rests in the case. Truss rod works. Neck is straight. Intonation is set as close as you’re ever gonna get on one of these bridges and I’m gonna miss having it around the house. But it’s time for someone else to enjoy this fine vintage instrument. Also comes with the original case which is extremely rare to find. Unfortunately the one end has been damaged and does need repaired to truly bring back the functionality of it. Or leave it as is because it still stores the bass nicely. I never bothered because the bass never left the house. If you’ve been looking for one of these, I can assure you that you’ve found a good one.
