The Ultimate Mid-70s Rock Workhorse
Step back into the golden era of hard rock with this vintage 1976 Marshall 1960A 4x12 angled guitar speaker cabinet. Dressed in the iconic mid-70s aesthetic featuring black elephant tolex, white piping, and the highly coveted large-check checkerboard grill cloth, this cabinet delivers the unmistakable look and projection that built the foundation of modern rock. Loaded with a matched quad of highly desirable original 1975/1976 Celestion G12H T1281 Blackback speakers (55Hz bass resonance, 30 watts each), this cab pushes a massive, thick low-end response with a legendary aggressive midrange crunch.
This particular 1960A has been thoughtfully modified to meet the demands of the modern gigging and studio musician. The back panel has been retrofitted with a JCM900-style Plug and Play stereo/mono jack plate, dramatically expanding the cabinet's routing versatility. You can now effortlessly run the cab in standard 16-ohm mono, 4-ohm mono, or split it into 8-ohm stereo for complex wet/dry touring rigs. It retains its rugged original black metal handles and corner protectors, ensuring it remains a steadfast companion for the stage or the tracking room.

Condition
This cabinet is in Very Good, player-grade vintage condition. It exhibits standard cosmetic wear consistent with nearly 50 years of use, including minor scuffs, small tears along the edges of the black tolex, and natural patina on the metal hardware. The original checkerboard grill cloth remains in excellent structural shape. Please note that a previous owner painted their name on the rear panel, which has since been neatly covered with black spray paint. Additionally, the original back panel was internally routed to cleanly accommodate the modern stereo jack plate. Overall, it is a structurally rock-solid, highly functional vintage enclosure that sounds absolutely massive.
